Welcome to my site!
My life revolves around food.
Whether I am cooking, writing recipes, food styling or roaming the globe in search of an interesting story, meal and table to eat at, my pleasure comes from the joy of creating, seeking and sharing. While I live in Victoria, B.C. I often follow the siren call of adventure.
I am a professionally trained chef and have worked in fine dining restaurants in Toronto and Northern Italy. As the years passed, my career evolved into food writing and styling for different media, from magazines to websites and corporate clients.
I developed my recipe writing and food styling skills at Chatelaine magazine in Toronto where I worked as the Associate Food Editor for 6 years. Since then I have continued as a freelancer, contributing to other magazines including Alive, Best Health, Clean Eating, EAT, Glow, Shape, Taste (B.C. Liquor Store) and Today's Parent. Other clients include Butchart Gardens, Elephant Island Orchard Wines and Rogers Chocolates.
When I’m able, I still search out cooking adventures too. In the past few years I have been lucky enough to work seasonally as the “Harvest Chef” at Cristom and Elk Cove Vineyards in Oregon, U.S.A. Have knives – will travel!
Currently, I work at Epicure Selections as their Creative Director and often dabble in the wacky world of food and product videos too. Stay tuned for some interesting experiments.
